Frequently Asked Questions

Is AlphaForgeReco financial advice?

No. It is a research and analytics tool for informational purposes only. Nothing in it is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset — you are solely responsible for your own decisions.

Where does the data come from?

Prices, fundamentals and news are fetched from public sources (primarily Yahoo Finance) and cached. Guru holdings come from SEC EDGAR 13F filings. Data is typically end-of-day and may be delayed or incomplete.

What does “deterministic” mean here?

Every score, rating and metric is computed by fixed rules from stored data — the same inputs always produce the same output, so results are reproducible and auditable. AI is only used to write explanations, never to calculate or rank.

Why are some fields (fair value, analyst DCF, backtests) missing?

Because we don’t have a credible free source for them. Rather than show a misleading number, we omit it. Analyst consensus targets are shown as a fair-value guide where available.

How fresh are the prices?

Assets you hold or view refresh frequently; the whole universe refreshes daily; anything you open self-heals on the spot. Prices are end-of-day bars, so the “as of” date is the latest trading day.

What is the difference between AI Daily Picks and AI Monthly Picks?

Daily Picks rank the whole universe by factor scores every day. Monthly Picks are strategy portfolios (Tech Titans, Value, Small-Cap, etc.) rebalanced on the 1st of each month, with realized performance tracked since the pick.

What is the difference between Morning Report and Morning Briefing?

Same underlying data, different pace. Morning Report is the full institutional brief with every module and a history of past reports. Morning Briefing (and the even shorter Today’s Priorities) is a faster, analyst-note-style read of what changed since you last logged in, for when you want the highlights in under a minute.

What is the difference between Alerts and Notifications (Smart Alerts)?

Alerts are rules you configure yourself — a price level, an RSI threshold, a rating you want to know about. Notifications (Smart Alerts) are generated automatically by the system whenever it detects a rating change, technical trigger, catalyst or portfolio-risk breach, with no setup required.

Is anything from my portfolio shared if I use Community?

Only what you explicitly publish, and only what you choose to publish it as. Sharing a portfolio publishes its symbols only — quantities, cost basis, brokers, notes and transactions always stay private. Nothing is shared by default.

What can Ask AlphaForgeReco (Copilot) actually do?

It answers investment questions grounded entirely in your own stored data via tool calls, and its Audit Trail shows exactly which calls produced each answer — never free-form generation. It can draft a rebalance or a decision-journal entry, but approving a draft never executes a trade or changes your portfolio on its own; every action is explicit and reviewable.

Do I need an account?

By default the app is local-first and needs no login. An administrator can turn on authentication, after which you sign in with an email and password.

Is my data private?

Yes — no third-party tracking or ads, and we don’t sell your data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
